Award-winning actor Kevin Ryan recently starred on BBC America's "Copper" which became their highest rated series premiere of all time. The series was created by Oscar winning director Barry Levinson, multi-Emmy winner Tom Fontana, and Academy Award nominee Will Rokos. Hailed as Ireland's newest emerging star, and voted one of Ireland's sexiest men for two consecutive years, Kevin can also be seen starring in the award winning RTE One TV drama "Raw." The show, now in its fourth season, is produced by Octagon Films ("The Tudors"). Kevin was also recently seen starring in the History Channel mini-series SONS OF LIBERTY which premiered at the end of January 2015, and appeared in the NBC series CROSSBONES starring John Malkovich. Voted number 70 in Social & Personal's sexiest Irish men 2008. Voted number 59 in Social and Personal's sexiest Irish men 2009. Kevin's first short film Laredo (2009) which he starred in and produced won 4 awards. Two at its world premiere at the "Boston International Film Festival 2009" for "Best Cinematography" & he jointly received a "Special Recognition Award" as a producer on the film. Laredo (2009) also won "Best Short Film" at the "Swansea Bay Film Festival 2009" in South Wales UK which he attended and accepted. Laredo (2009) then went on to win "Best International Film Under 50 minutes" at the "Independent Film Festival of Ireland" which Kevin also accepted in person. After working for years in his earlier days as a professional dancer, Ryan hung up his dancing shoes for his acting career. Kevin turned down the chance of a career in music. Kevin's second film which he produced, The Tub (2009), received its first award on Sunday, May 22nd, at the 2011 Charleston Film Festival in South Carolina, where the film's lead actress, Dedee Pfeiffer , won best actress.
